Description:

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Inventory Controller to manage, monitor, and optimize the storage, movement, and availability of materials and products across our operations. The ideal candidate will combine organizational skills with data-driven decision-making to ensure accurate stock levels, minimize waste, and support operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain accurate inventory records across all warehouses or storage facilities.
  • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment activities to prevent shortages or excess.
  • Conduct regular cycle counts, annual physical inventory, and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track and report inventory movements, including receipts, issues, transfers, and adjustments.
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to align inventory with operational needs.
  • Develop and implement inventory control policies, procedures, and best practices.
  • Identify slow-moving, obsolete, or surplus stock and propose corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational, safety, and regulatory standards in storage and handling.
  • Utilize inventory management software to perform analyses, generate reports, and forecast requirements.
  • Train warehouse or logistics staff on inventory control procedures as needed.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience (2-5 years) in inventory management, stock control, or warehouse operations.
  • Strong proficiency with inventory management software (ERP systems preferred, e.g., SAP, Tally, or Oracle).
  • Excellent numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.
Preferred Skills
  • Knowledge of procurement and supply chain practices.
  • Experience in handling high-volume inventories in manufacturing, retail, or distribution environments.
  • Lean inventory management and Six Sigma knowledge.
  • Familiarity with safety and compliance standards related to storage and logistics.
