What will you do:

This position is for GIGA Labs management position, part of I& T, EMCTO, leading a team of approximately 30+ employees. The team specializes in Prototyping, Electrical, Mechanical, Safety, Environmental, EMC verification testing at our labs at Bangalore. The team is responsible for V& V certification testing, surveillance testing ensuring that all Schneider Electric products offered to market meet all regulatory requirements and are of the highest quality.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead and inspire a multidisciplinary team of ~60 employees
  • Ensure efficient lab operations, safety compliance, and work prioritization.
  • Collaborate with project test leaders to build a future-ready R& D roadmap.
  • Maintain high standards of quality and manage accreditations (UL, SEMKO, DEKRA, NABL, BIS).
  • Connect with global labs to elevate capabilities and share best practices.
  • Drive sustainability initiatives towards a Net Zero Lab.
  • Strategize team competencies and infrastructure aligned with Schneider Electric's focus.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams: design, offer marketing, manufacturing, and standardization.
  • Champion 5S, Kaizen, productivity, and automation initiatives.
  • Lead the digital transformation of lab operations and testing.
  • Foster a culture of innovation, agility, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure safe and compliant lab operations at all times.
Qualification

  • Proven experience in negotiating complex organizations Strong electrical and electronics engineering background
  • Diverse technical background (design, manufacturing, field, operations, lab) Demonstrated experience in a laboratory environment
  • Proven experience in standards interpretation and development of determinations Digital leadership
