Description:

JD Title: Cooling Engineer-to-Order Team Manager

SUMMARY OF JOB:

• Lead a team with strong people management skills, to deliver the value, expected from the team.

• Define and implement both long term and short-term strategies, for the team, as per the overall organization strategy

• Ensure quality and timely deliverables, collaborating and coordinating with all concerned teams and organizations, both internal and external, as per the projects and products plans

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Sustainable

  • Lead the development and execution of sustainable R& D strategies for air conditioning products.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate sustainable practices into product design and development processes.
  • Drive research and development of environmentally friendly refrigerants and energy-efficient technologies.
  • Establish and maintain partnerships with external organizations to stay updated on sustainability trends and regulations.
  • Provide guidance and support to R& D teams to ensure compliance with environmental standards and regulations.
  • Drive continuous improvement in sustainable practices and promote a culture of environmental responsibility within the R& D organization.
  • Collaborate with marketing and product management teams to communicate sustainability achievements to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading & controlling yearly cost down activities as per action plan.


Engineer-to-Order

  • Lead the engineering team in the design and development of customized air conditioning solutions.
  • Oversee the entire Engineer-to-Order process, ensuring timely and accurate project delivery.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project requirements and customer expectations.
  • Drive innovation and continuous improvement in air conditioning product design and development.
  • Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, fostering a culture of excellence and efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and regulations in all engineering activities.
Qualifications - External

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - MINIMUN REQUIRED LEVEL:
  • Bachelor's degree in Thermodynamics, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration, or Equivalent, Master's degree preferred.
  • Experience in sustainable product development and R& D leadership within the air conditioning industry
  • Knowledge of environmental regulations, energy efficiency standards, and sustainable technologies.
  • Strong project management skills and the ability to lead cross-functional teams.


EXPERIENCE - MINIMUM REQUIRED:

• 10-15 years of experience in designing thermodynamics and air conditioning products, as well as team management

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

• Proficiency in project planning and scheduling, cost control and risk management

• Strong understanding of quality management principles

• Effective problem-solving abilities, a customer-focused mindset, and familiarity with energy efficiency standards and sustainable design practices

• Knowledge of green building certifications such as LEED and BREEAM

TRAVEL:

  • Occasional (20%) Travel (International or Domestic) is Required.


OTHER KEY CONSIDERATIONS:

• Good Communication and Ability to Technical Writing in English.
