Schneider Electric is hiring a Engineer II, Segment Solutions in Bangalore, KA. This is a full-time position.
A fully qualified and experienced Industrial Automation specialist to join the Global CPG StruxureLab team, driving the design, validation, and demonstration of next-generation automation and digitalization solutions - with a strong emphasis on AVEVA software platforms - for the Food & Beverage and Life Sciences segments.

• AVEVA System Platform - architecture design, configuration, and deployment for plant-wide supervisory and automation solutions.
• AVEVA Historian - real-time and historical data management, trending, and analytics for manufacturing operations.
• AVEVA Batch & Recipe Management - design and validation of batch/recipe-driven solutions aligned with ISA S88 standards.
• AVEVA Workforce Empowerment - deployment of operator-centric digital solutions to improve plant productivity and compliance.
• Integrated AVEVA + EcoStruxure Architectures - combining AVEVA software with EcoStruxure Process/Machine Expert platforms to deliver Tested, Validated & Documented Architectures (TVDAs).

Key Responsibilities
Solution Development & Expertise
- Create new Tested, Validated & Documented Architectures (TVDAs) for emerging solution needs.
- Design, develop, and validate new solution architectures; conduct extensive Proof of Concepts (POCs).
- Develop solution demos, scripts, and videos to showcase capabilities to internal and external audiences.
- Organize and deliver technical webinars for the CPG community.
- Produce technical documentation - TVDAs, POCs, SOPs, FDS, DDS, and test plans - for internal teams, Lines of Business (LOBs), and customers.
- Enhance lab architecture capabilities through regular, timely upgrades and new system implementations.
- Collaborate with team members on brainstorming, problem-solving, and troubleshooting for ongoing projects.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Partner with Lab colleagues, internal stakeholders (CPG account managers, Product Owners, Offer Managers, R& D teams) and external stakeholders (customers, partners) across assigned initiatives.
- Engage and collaborate with the broader CPG Segment solution architect community.
- Support presales activities: customer presentations, live demonstrations, requirement capture, techno-commercial proposals, POCs, and selected project execution support.
- Support customer project execution across the AVEVA and CPG solution portfolio if required
- Conduct ongoing technical investigations and market research to track emerging trends and competitor capabilities.
- Perform gap analysis and define new value-creation approaches based on findings.
- Maintain strong communication skills to manage internal and external stakeholders globally.
- Build and maintain deep expertise in Schneider Electric Automation Solutions, becoming a recognized subject-matter expert within the community.
- Understand customer processes end-to-end and translate pain points into meaningful, actionable solution requirements.
- Foster cooperation and actively engage a global, cross-cultural technical community.
- Create clear, well-structured documentation and reports that communicate segment solutions to architects and customers alike.
- Engineering degree in Instrumentation & Control, Electronics, Electrical, or Mechatronics from a recognized university.
- 6-12 years of experience executing medium- to large-scale projects in Food & Beverage (Dairy, Beverages, Brewery, Sugar, Agri, etc.) or Life Sciences - overseas project experience is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated technical leadership on at least 1-2 major projects.
- Proven experience with leading OEM manufacturers, end users, or distributors integrating automation platforms with AVEVA software.
- Experience with the Schneider Electric offer portfolio is preferred and considered an added advantage.
Automation & AVEVA Platform Expertise
- AVEVA System Platform, AVEVA Historian, Batch & Recipe Management, and Multi-Carrier Systems.
- Aveva Connect, Aveva PI - Historian, Connectivity, reporting
- Working familiarity with competitor platforms - Rockwell Automation, Siemens, B& R, Cognex Vision Systems - is a plus.
- .NET programming and MS SQL Database management - added advantage.
- Working knowledge of MES/MIS systems - added advantage.
- Sound knowledge of industry standards including ISA S88, ISA S95, and OMAC PackML, with proven ability to apply them in project or function design.
- Strong understanding of Dairy, Brewery, and Beverage production processes; able to evaluate and develop new automation models to improve operations and maintenance.
- Working knowledge of and inclination toward Industry 4.0 technologies - AR/VR, predictive maintenance, advanced process control/optimization, and machine learning - with the ability to translate customer pain points into IoT-enabled solutions.
- Hands-on experience across the full project lifecycle: requirements engineering, design, development, FAT, SAT, and commissioning, including customer-facing system presentations.
- Familiarity with at least one project execution methodology - PMP or Agile.
- Ability to independently design system architectures based on available products and offers, tailored to customer needs.
- Strong customer focus with excellent listening and communication skills.
- Solid process and technical background to understand customer issues alongside Schneider and competitor offers.
- Skilled in identifying limitations and constraints across system architecture methodology, solution scope, and segment application offers.
- Ability to produce professional-grade documentation - FDS, DDS, test plans, SOPs, solution documents, and reports.
- Prior experience with Schneider Electric technology preferred; experience with a customer or channel partner from a target Process OEM is a plus.
- Language skills: fluent verbal and written proficiency in the local language; high-level verbal and written English.
- Strong ability to convince and influence internal and external partners.
