Specialist in metallic component and associated tool: Specifying, implementing, and qualifying the tool & manufacturing process in compliance with SPS principles.
For manufacturing, contributes strongly to the continuous improvement actions for the tool & manufacturing process.
Collaborate with technical team in the definition of the components and collaborate with purchasing in supplier selection tool and stamping.
Prepare tool specifications for the suppliers.
Review tool design for it's capability of delivering robust part as well as critical to quality (CTQs) along with PFMEA.
Ensure the consistency and application of Schneider Electric global standards for tool design and establishment of production process.
Select, validate, introduce, and standardize new technologies/processes locally in metal components domain.
Capable of Tool cost negotiation and part cost estimation with more knowledge on progressive tool design.
In addition to this he set up process of the tool maintenance at Supplier premise for Preventive and Breakdown maintenance
Responsible to actively participate / lead tool design reviews, tool schedule, and tool approval. As well as the part qualification and process validation process while optimizing the performance.
Responsible to obtain plant acceptance and provide the final sign-off on tool and process.
QualificationsKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS -REQUIRED
- Communication skills in English (written and verbal)
- Ability to work successfully in a multicultural virtual environment.
- 5+ years of experience in plastic/metalic tooling development and moulding process development
- Experience in working with suppliers, supporting, and troubleshooting moulding process and tooling issues and working in a moulding/tooling environment to implement process improvement.
