The
Data Product Owner - Analytics plays a critical role in driving Schneider Electric's data-driven decision-making culture. This role leads the strategy, roadmap, and delivery of analytics products-primarily dashboards and insights solutions-across key business verticals such as
Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, Supply Chain, Finance and Operations.
Acting as the bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams, the Data Product Owner ensures that analytics products deliver actionable insights, are user-centric, and support Schneider Electric's broader
Data & Performance mission of enabling performance management through trusted, scalable, and high-quality data.
What will you do: - Product Vision & Strategy
- Define and own the product vision for analytics solutions across Schneider Electric business functions.
- Translate high-level business requirements into use cases, user stories, and performance metrics.
- Become a trusted domain expert who advises business stakeholders on the right KPIs, data structures, and performance frameworks.
- Work closely with business leaders to identify decision-making needs, data pain points, and optimization opportunities.
- Stay continuously updated with BI and data trends to identify innovative features and improvements.
- Analytics Product Development
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of analytics products-from conception to deployment and iteration.
- Prioritize the product backlog based on business impact, user value, and technical feasibility.
- Oversee the design and structure of dashboards, ensuring clarity, relevance, and excellent UX for different user personas.
- Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to ensure scalable data pipelines and efficient data models.
- Ensure content alignment with Schneider's unified data layer, promoting consistency and data trustworthiness.
- Understand where Schneider's data is stored, how it flows across systems, and how to effectively access datasets within the Schneider data ecosystem (data lake, reference data, APIs, BI layers, etc.).
- Stakeholder & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Act as the main liaison between business teams (Sales, Marketing, Customer Support, etc.) and technical squads (data engineers, BI developers, UX designers).
- Lead workshops, requirement sessions, and demos to ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Provide clarity, guidance, and prioritization for technical teams throughout sprint cycles.
- Influence and convince stakeholders to adopt standardized dashboards, KPIs, and data practices.
- Build credibility so that business teams rely on the PO's expertise when defining KPIs, performance logic, and analytical frameworks.
- User Experience & Adoption
- Ensure analytics solutions deliver intuitive, clean, and role-based user experiences.
- Drive adoption across geographies and business units through training, documentation, and communication campaigns.
- Conduct regular user feedback loops to refine dashboard features and functionality.
- Ensure seamless navigation, proper access control, and overall performance optimization.
- Data Quality, Governance & Security
- Promote and enforce data quality, consistency, lineage, and governance across analytics assets.
- Collaborate with governance and security teams to ensure compliance with PII, confidentiality, and global access rules.
- Support automation of data flows from source systems to dashboards using standardized processes.
- Innovation & Continuous Improvement
- Collaborate with platform owners and architects to explore AI-driven analytics, predictive modeling, and automation.
- Introduce new visualizations, BI components, and advanced analytics features as appropriate.
- Benchmark dashboard performance and drive iterative improvements based on usage insights.
What will make you successful: - 5-8 years of experience in analytics, BI product ownership, or digital product management.
- Strong background in data analytics concepts, KPI frameworks, and performance management.
- Demonstrated ability to become a trusted advisor to business teams for KPI definition and analytics decisions.
- Experience leading cross-functional agile teams and managing complex stakeholder landscapes.
Qualifications: - Bachelor's or master's degree in Data Analytics, Computer Science, Engineering, Business Analytics, or equivalent.
