Description:

Your Job

i) To plan and implement Quality assurance system specific to the process in line with organization QMS and Business objectives in Stamping department.

ii) To monitor and review the current process performance and work with the manufacturing team in addressing the concerns / improvements in stamping Dept.

iii) To implement effective inspection process in Stamping Dept. & ensure zero slippages to customers. Work with SQA in addressing the identified RM related concerns effectively.

What You Will Do

1. Ensure completion of day-today Process & Product Quality requirements (Timely QM lot clearance, First piece, Patrol and Final inspection as per procedures, ....) and compliance to documented QMS & EMS requirements.

2.Review of inspection records for accuracy of inspection and also random audit (Inspection) of the reported results to identify gaps if any.

3.Ensure process audit of the line everyday to identify the areas of concern / gaps in the system.

4. Planning and allocation of inspectors in different shifts and regular review of the same.

5. Training and certification of inspectors, development of Inspectors on end application of the product, measurement techniques, basic quality system requirements and monitoring their performance.

6. Review of Ongoing performance of the subordinates and arrive at improvement plan where required.

7. Development of Product specific Quality Checklist, Inspection plan in SAP, Gauges, Workmanship standards and identification of appropriate measuring instruments

8. Develop and review the annual plan for Product/Process/Layout inspection and Raw material testing to ensure completion as per plan.

9. Monitor Product & Process performance trends, analyze the reason for poor performance along with the Operations team & drive for improvements (Review of QAP PPM, QAP $, QN, Block stock.....)

10. Addressing the Quality issues reported by User Departments and disposition of MQR's, Disposal of NC material in shop, Review and disposal of shelf life parts, block stock.....)

11.Ensure blocking of non conforming product in SAP as soon as it is identified and ensure speedy disposal.

12. Active participation in New Product Development

a. Participating in Qualification run, Run at rate studies to identify gaps during the new product development

b. Supporting in preparation of APQP & PPAP Documents (Control plan, MSA, Qchecksheet, Capability study)

c. Planning for New Product Qualification (FAR, Capability study, MSA, etc.) and exit audit as per procedure."

13. Managing the Product audit by certification bodies like VDE, UL & CSA

14. Handling customer complaints- Updating containment and corrective actions to customer within specified lime limits through 8D methodology. Investigating the root cause and driving preventive and detective actions to avoid recurrence. Taking disposal of RGA material in case any.

15. Active participations in the Overall Process improvement program initiated by the Operations team.

16. Work towards continuous improvement in detection mechanism, reduction of inspection lead time...

17. Drive improvement projects in stamping area (Defect prevention & defect detection).

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor of Engineering (Mech preferable) or Diploma

4 to 5 years (Incase of Engineering), 7 to 8 years (Incase of Diploma)

Awareness on QMS/EMS practices as per IATF 16949 / ISO 14001

Hands on experience in measurement system including GD& T measurement.

Understanding and Interpretation of engineering drawing

Knowledge of Product functional Testing (Mechanical & Electrical)

Understanding of APQP, PPAP, MSA, 8D problem solving, SPC and other Quality tools.

Good analytical and reasoning skills
