In this role, you will:
Join our Digital Technology Solutions (DTS) organization that will be focused on supporting and evolving a diverse portfolio of in-house and commercial off-the-shelf software used to support Kimberly-Clark’s Sustainability programs and projects. You will collaborate with a diverse team of professionals both within and outside of the team including other software and solution engineers, solution architects, infrastructure teams, business stake holders, and external consultants and software partners. This role is viewed as an expert in the sustainability application domain and works closely with the sustainability program owners to lead the development and expansion of digital sustainability capabilities. You must demonstrate both technical expertise, business process understanding, and advanced concepts in software development and support.
You will report to the Senior Manager of Digital Safety & Sustainability Platforms, the K-C DTS organization that supports the Sustainability business function.
Other important aspects of the position:
Leads in design and configuration of software applications to solve complex strategic opportunities that meet compliance requirements.
Creates user and technical requirements and feeds those requirements to the software engineering team where custom development is needed or directly makes software configurations to off the shelf software.
Ensures digital solutions are well tested (unit, integration, regression, UAT, etc.)
Has strong business acumen, understanding of environmental sustainability, and of ESG compliance complexities.
Acts as a resident technical knowledge expert that guides other team members.
Applies emerging industry best practices in daily work to accelerate and continuously improve the Sustainability digital domain for Kimberly-Clark.
Evaluates business processes, anticipating requirements, uncovering areas for improvement, and developing and implementing solutions.
Leads on-going reviews of business processes and develops digital optimization strategies.
Stays current on the latest technology advancements in this space.
Effectively communicates insights, ideas, and strategies to cross-functional team members and management.
Partner with Sustainability team members, architects, Sustainability program leaders, subject matter experts, and product owners to design, develop, sustain, and evolve robust solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
Lead the development, deployment, and support of internally developed and off-the-shelf software for Sustainability applications, focusing on scalability, efficiency, and functionality.
Ensures digital Sustainability platform meets ESG and other compliance requirements.
Evolve and maintain robust APIs using FastAPI or similar frameworks and Unifi middleware to support the operational needs of application connectivity, data lake connection for data ingestion, and AI models and services.
Conduct thorough code reviews and provide constructive feedback to peers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
Work closely with Product Owners and Program Leaders to manage communications and requirements from different stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment on project goals and timelines.
Keep abreast of the latest trends and advancements in K-C’s digital platforms (Azure, AWS, Sphera, etc.), software engineering, and backend technology.
Enhance and provide advanced technical support as needed for Sustainability applications.

In one of our technical roles, you’ll focus on winning with consumers and the market, while putting safety, mutual respect, and human dignity at the center. To succeed in this role, you will need the following qualifications:
Key Qualifications and Experiences:
A minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in full stack application development on a variety of custom and off-the-shelf software.
Expertise in software development, preferably with Node.js, Express.js, .NET Core, #, Stored Procedures, and Unit Testing Frameworks.
Experience in Cloud Native Development, Node.js libraries, Azure or AWS DevOps (CI\CD, GIT Branching), MS IIS, Apache.
Proficiency in Python and SQL.
The ability to design and implement effective data models in Power BI to support efficient data analysis and reporting.
Solid grasp of software engineering principles, SDLC, Security Protocols, OAuth, JWT, OKTA, API Gateway, Encryption, Monitoring, Logging Framework.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
Thrives in working in a team environment.
Exceptional written and verbal communication and presentation skills to interact effectively with various stakeholders.
Experience with Agile practices and the Scrum framework.
Experience designing and deploying digital solutions to manage data, workflows, reporting and analytics for Environment, Energy, Waste, Water, Lifecycle Analysis and other sustainability capabilities.
Bonus Skills: Databricks, Snowflake, and Azure Data Factory (ADF).
