What You'll Do
As Observability Analyst you are passionate about solving complex data-driven challenges and automate those solutions. You will lead efforts aimed at setting up enterprise observability solutions at scale and establish the technical strategy to achieve this. To be successful, you'll need to be deeply technical and capable of holding your own with other strong peers. You possess excellent collaboration and diplomacy skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Requirement Gathering & Product Vision:
Collaborate with stakeholders to understand and gather requirements for the Observability tool and Monitoring.
• Define and maintain the product vision and roadmap for Observability & Monitoring tools, ensuring alignment with business goals and team objectives.
• Maintain a rich and prioritized backlog for the observability team to ensure continuous delivery of value.
Communication & Stakeholder Management:
• Draft and communicate release notes, announcements, and updates related to new features and enhancements.
• Act as the bridge between technical teams, ITSM teams, and business stakeholders to ensure alignment on objectives.
Monitoring Noise Reduction & Data Analysis:
• Analyse monitoring data to identify patterns, reduce noise, and improve signal-to-noise ratios.
• Collaborate with technical teams to identify and implement automation opportunities that enhance monitoring efficiency.
Automation & Gap Identification:
• Work closely with ITSM and technical teams to improve monitoring detection rates by identifying gaps and recommending updates to existing monitoring processes.
• Drive initiatives to enhance automation capabilities and reduce manual intervention through innovative solutions.
Skills & Qualifications:
Technical Skills:
• 3 - 5 years of Hands-on experience with observability and monitoring tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, Open Search and similar).
• 6 - 8 years' experience in monitoring data analysis, alert optimization, and noise reduction techniques.
• 6 - 8 years of experience with Agile Methodologies, ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow and Jira.
• 6 - 8 years of proficiency in Service Now reporting, Power BI tool, excel macros and Jira reporting.
• 6 - 8 years of experience in product management or ownership, particularly in the Monitoring & observability domain
• Good Understanding of SRE Framework and metrics (SLI, SLO, and Error Budget) and their application in monitoring.
• 4 - 6 years f experience in leading technical projects, with familiarity around API integrations, Metrics instrumentation, logging strategies and open-source monitoring tools stack.
• Technical understanding of DevOps practices, containerization, Microservices, Cloud and basic Networking knowledge.
