What You Will Do: The Data Quality & Governance Lead is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, consistency, and integrity of an organization's data. This role involves developing and implementing data governance frameworks, policies, and procedures to maintain data standards across the enterprise. The position requires close collaboration with various stakeholders, including IT, business units, and senior management, to promote a culture of data excellence.
Key Responsibilities: - Drive the overall data quality function of the Global Supply Chain to include data profiling, data cleansing, and data enrichment of data required to support the programs goals.
- Leverages data management knowledge to maintain and define data quality and metadata processes, participates in development of data quality rules, thresholds, and standard metrics/quality-expectations for data elements that support critical business processes.
- Coordinate with global and regional data stewards, business analysts and business SMEs and data owners to define, develop, and maintain data quality rules and metadata.
- Continue to enhance the in-house DQ framework to include additional advanced DQ capability combined with our data platforms.
- Deliver DQ solutions and capabilities to data stewards, including DQ dashboards to measure their business-critical data.
- Co-Lead implementation of active data governance controls together with Data Governance Lead.
- Collating and reviewing data requirements ( specific details - complete, timeliness and accuracy specifications) from data consumers
- Reviewing existing data controls and recommending additional controls as per data strategy.
- Ability to understand meta data - lineage, definitions and trusted data sources
- Ability to search and consolidate critical data elements information in meta data tools
- Reviewing meta data and highlighting gaps in meta data
- Performing RCA on Data Concerns and identify solutions
- Assist in the definition of governance structure, policies, processes, metrics to improve and maintain the quality and ownership of data (including data owners, stewards and administrators)
- Provide recommendations and best practices for data element, data definitions, business rule writing, and metadata management procedures.
- Ensure compliance with relevant data protection regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
- Identify and mitigate data-related risks.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement controls to protect sensitive data.
- Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to ensure alignment of data governance initiatives with business objectives.
- Facilitate cross-functional data governance committees and working groups.
- Provide guidance and support to data stewards and data owners.
What We Are Looking For: - Minimum 6-8 years of relevant work experience.
- Subject Matter Expert on data management policy, Issue Management & Resolution and knowledgeable with data-related policies and standard
- Advanced experience in data analysis, business requirement gathering, dashboarding and reporting, preferably with Microsoft Azure, SQL, Python, .
- Mandatory: Master Data Management (MDM),
- Good to have: Power BI and Tableau.
- Tools - Collibra/informatica/Ataccama
- Data steward
- Strong IT literacy with experience in SAP ERP Systems, SAP Hana is plus.
- Project experience as either project lead or core project team member.
- CDMA certification will be a plus.
