This position reports into Product Group Leader - Application Reliability and is based at Bengaluru, India.

What you will do

The Application Reliability Sr Manager is responsible for managing day-to-day technical operations for portfolio of applications, driving company initiatives, ensuring processes and systems are in place to support operations, and meeting or exceeding customer requirements. You will also lead and negotiate to achieve business strategies, analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities, manage project resources, and contribute to HR-related processes:

Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement strategies to ensure high availability and reliability of applications

Lead a team of engineers to manage and resolve incidents, problems, and service requests

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve application issues

Define and maintain service level agreements (SLAs), Service Level Objectives (SLOs) and Service Level Indicators (SLI) for application reliability

Continuously improve application monitoring and alerting capabilities

Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members

Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and industry trends to drive innovation

Develop and implement strategies to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of systems operations

Lead and manage a team of professionals to ensure timely resolution of incidents and problems

Collaborate with Systems Engineering to coordinate corrective actions and ensure operational integrity of all changes.

Contribute to the development and implementation of Human Resources related processes such as succession planning, talent management, compensation planning, and performance management.

Analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities and establish improvement processes.

Ensure compliance with quality processes and procedures and evaluate department policy.

Provide information technology planning to meet the company's objectives.

Drive company initiatives or programs and meet or exceed customer requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency, and business value.

Lead, influence, and negotiate to achieve business strategies and deliver results for internal/external partner(s).

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

8-10 years of experience in application reliability engineering or a related field

12 years of experience in Information Technology or a related field

Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field

Strong understanding of application architecture and infrastructure

Experience with cloud-based technologies and platforms

Expertise in incident management, problem management, and service request management

Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams

Strong leadership and management skills to lead a team of professionals.

Desired Qualifications

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with Systems Engineering and internal/external partner(s).

Ability to analyze business processes for reengineering opportunities and establish improvement processes.

Experience in contributing to Human Resources related processes such as succession planning, talent management, compensation planning, and performance management.

Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to ensure timely resolution of problems and malfunctions.

Ability to drive company initiatives or programs and meet or exceed customer requirements with respect to time, cost efficiency, and business value.
