Job Description - System Administrator



Position Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and user-focused System Administrator to provide end-user support, manage Windows-based environments, administer Active Directory and Microsoft 365, and ensure the smooth operation of IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will possess strong troubleshooting skills, hands-on experience with desktop and server administration, and the ability to support users across hardware, software, networking, and collaboration technologies.

Key Responsibilities:


End User & Desktop Support

  • Provide support for desktops, laptops, peripherals, and end-user devices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve user issues related to Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office, Outlook, Microsoft Teams, VPN, and business applications.
  • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows desktops and laptops.
  • Support employee onboarding and offboarding by provisioning and decommissioning user accounts, devices, and access.
  • Configure user profiles, printers, shared folders, network drives, and email accounts.
  • Perform password resets, account unlocks, and user account administration through Active Directory.
  • Diagnose hardware failures and coordinate warranty repairs with vendors.
  • Provide technical support for mobile devices, including iPhones, Android devices, and iPads.
Windows Systems Administration
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows 11 operating systems and windows server workstations.
  • Perform routine system health checks, preventive maintenance, and performance monitoring.
  • Manage software deployment, updates, patches, and operating system upgrades.
  • Monitor system performance, disk utilization, and endpoint availability.
  • Manage Endpoint security, and compliance requirements.
Active Directory & Microsoft 365 Administration
  • Create, modify, disable, and delete user accounts in Active Directory.
  • Manage security groups, distribution lists, and user permissions.
  • Reset passwords and unlock user accounts in accordance with IT security policies.
  • Assign appropriate access rights based on business requirements and company policies.
  • Support Group Policy (GPO) implementation and basic administration.
  • Provide administration and support for Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, Teams, OneDrive, and SharePoint.
Audio-Visual & Meeting Room Support including Install, configure, and maintain conference room technology like Cameras, Microphones, Speakers, TVs and display systems and Wireless presentation systems.

Service Management:
  • Manage, track, and resolve IT support requests using IT Service Management (ITSM) tools such as ServiceNow.
  • Ensure timely incident resolution while adhering to established Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
  • Document troubleshooting steps, resolutions, and knowledge base articles where applicable.

Required Technical Skills:

Operating Systems: Windows 11 & Windows Server (Basic Administration)

Hardware: Dell desktops and laptops, Printers, Monitors, Docking stations and peripherals

Network & Connectivity Support Perform basic troubleshooting of LAN/WAN connectivity and Wi-Fi connectivity issues, access and TCP/IP, DNS, and DHCP-related issues

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience).
  • 5 to 8 years of experience in System Administration, Desktop Support, or IT Infrastructure Support.
  • Experience working in enterprise Windows and Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
