Your Job

Lead the Supply Base Management/Sourcing function. Establish and implement programs and initiatives to drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, delivery, and risk reduction for shipping products. Work cross functionally and with suppliers to ensure flawless new product launches and smooth volume ramp up of new products. Support the overall strategic procurement objectives.

What you Will do

•Anticipate and lead change. Envision what could be, challenge status quo, and drive change. Build relationships with internal stakeholders to increase effectiveness. Develop a competitive supply base to meet business needs and drive continuous improvement.

•Work with the New Product Development Sourcing teams to ensure new products launch on schedule, without supplier issues, at or below cost targets, and with mitigated risks. Ensure the suppliers are ready for launch and ramp up per the customer's needs.

•Regularly organize and conduct pricing benchmarks and competitive analysis based on Total Cost of Ownership of key parts and key suppliers to identify cost reduction opportunities. Also work with Engineering, Supply Chain, Category Managers, and the supply base to identify cost reduction opportunities. Prioritize, gain appropriate support from the Business, and drive implementation of the cost reductions.

•Establish long term supplier relationships with Preferred Suppliers. Drive supplier consolidation, supplier localization, and move business away from suppliers that are not preferred. Minimize the amount of business with suppliers where the Molex spend is insignificant. Secure supply. Assess risk and lead mitigation efforts. Implement Supply Agreements and Inventory management agreements. Drive IT integration with key suppliers to improve efficiencies and communication.

•Communicate the suppliers' performance by use of the Supplier Scorecard. Meet regularly with the management team of the key suppliers to assure that our requirements are understood, and/or corrective plans are in place. Achieve year on year performance improvements.

•Conduct all affairs with integrity. Ensure that the Supply Base and the Molex Procurement team operate within the framework of regulatory and legal requirements. This includes but is not limited to compliance with Safety, Environmental, SOX, Tax, Customs and Ethical requirements.

•Promote the implementation of "best practices" as it relates to Procurement and Supply Chain Management. Meet periodically with other Procurement teams across Divisions to share best practices, supplier information, etc.

  • Excellent problem solving, analytical, and organizational skills
  • Computer proficiency (spreadsheet, database, presentation software)
  • A sense of urgency, high energy, and self-motivated
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Alignment to Koch Industries and Molex PBM Philosophy
