Wabash Center, Inc. is hiring a Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Youth & Family Support in Lafayette, IN. This is a full-time position.

Two Programs, One Meaningful Role. Since 1953, Wabash Center has been a leader in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities and special needs. We are currently seeking dedicated individuals to join our Youth Services and Family Supports programs who are interested in non-traditional schedules. Whether you are balancing school, family responsibilities, another part-time position, or simply prefer a schedule outside traditional business hours, this role offers meaningful work during hours that may fit your availability. Youth Services Support children and young adults with disabilities in a structured after-school and community-based program. You will help participants build social connections, practice important life skills, and work toward individualized goals through engaging activities and positive interactions. Family Support and In-Home Services Provide individualized, one-on-one support to children or adults in their homes and communities. Services are based on each persons individualized support plan and focus on independence, daily routines, community involvement, and personal growth. What Youll Do Depending on your assigned program and schedule, you may: Lead or support structured games, activities, and learning experiences Encourage communication, socialization, teamwork, and positive behavior Help individuals work toward IEP, PCISP, ISP, or other individualized goals Assist with daily living skills, personal care, hygiene, meals, and routines Provide one-on-one support in an individuals home or community Support behavior strategies outlined in the individuals plan Assist with medication administration after completing required training Provide transportation or supervision during appointments, outings, and activities Maintain a safe, welcoming, and inclusive environment Complete accurate service documentation Collaborate with families, coworkers, and members of the individuals care team Who Were Looking For This position may be a great fit for: College students studying education, psychology, social work, healthcare, or a related field Parents or caregivers seeking work around a nontraditional schedule Education or childcare professionals looking for additional afternoon or weekend hours Candidates who prefer shorter shifts instead of a traditional 8-hour workday Anyone interested in building experience in disability services, behavioral health, education, or human services Experience is helpful, but it is not required.
