Job Summary

Responsible for the daily operation of web presses as directed by the press operator. Perform press
\noperation duties during operator breaks, lunches, and PTO. Maintain cleanliness and operation of press.
\nCoordinate with internal agencies for required materials: I.E., ink plate paper tape etc. Ensure accuracy of
\nprinted material coming from the press
  • Key Duties/Responsibilities
  • Assist in inspecting printed sheets to ensure correctness in all areas of color registration match to samples Stock # and all other specifications at minimum of every 15 minutes.
  • Washes blankets and plates.
  • Place printed sheets into boxes move 50 pound boxes onto pallet and stage stock for receiving into warehouse.
  • Assist in entering all machine codes, subcodes, material codes, quantities and time periods
  • accurately for production records.
  • Assists press operator in moving and maintaining registration color perfs punched and all other
  • printing specifications.
  • Prepares roll-stock for printing open rolls and place rolls onto splicer. Inspect roll for defects before placing roll onto splicer.
  • Assists in performing job make ready (takes ink out of machine washes fountains & rollers etc)
  • Perform Perf Testing (as assigned) and enter data into perf database computer.
  • Maintenance Performs Autonomous Maintenance duties on a daily weekly or monthly basis and prepares press for operation.
  • Quality and Production Reads and understands schedules, job tickets and multi-part specifications.
  • Retrieve ink and place into ink foundations. Enter ink taken and ink returned into ink room computer.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience
  • Ability to operate press without supervision
  • 3+ years prior production machine operating experience
  • Must be able to identify colors and imperfections
  • Must display excellent work habits willingness to be a team player
  • Proven track record in waste reduction and profit improvement
  • Must have strong analytical skills independent thinking and written and verbal communications skills

\nRoll of paper in good condition. Stock being produced meets quality specifications. Basic operations of the equipment in good working order.
