Suburban Home Health LLC is hiring a Medical Records Coordinator in Noblesville, IN. This is a full-time position.
Suburban Home Health is a jointly owned venture between several Suburban Health Organization hospital systems here in central Indiana! We work as an extension of the hospital consortiums you trust in your community, with the goal of improving care across the continuum for our homebound patients. The Medical Records Coordinator is a hybrid position working Monday-Friday 8: 00 am-4: 30 pm. Serves as the first point of contact by answering the telephone and providing information and assistance as needed.Processes all incoming medical records documents (paper or electronic) and attaches to the appropriate patient chart in a timely fashion.Manages all incoming faxes and distributes as necessary to the appropriate individualCommunicates timely to clinicians regarding receipt of new physician orders.Send and tracks outgoing documents for physician signatureFollows up on outstanding documentation to ensure items are collected within agency policy and regulatory guidelines.Notifies the Medical Records Lead/Director, Business Operations when outstanding documents have not been received despite multiple attempts to collect.Processes staff requests related to medical records to achieve effective coordination of care.Utilizes physician portals or other software, when necessary, to obtain medical records.Completes all physician credentialing and maintains MD signature log for all physicians who refer to Suburban Home Health.Maintains and updates physician directory on fax portals as needed.Responsible for face to face processing to ensure regulatory compliance for timely billing.Compiles documentation in a timely manner for medical record requests.Works closely with billing and quality improvement team members regarding outstanding medical records.Assists Director, Clinical Operations in chart audits related to regulatory compliance.
