Position Summary The Home Health Administrative Assistant serves as the operational backbone of our Home Health Department. This role provides administrative, scheduling, documentation, and office management support that enables our clinical team to deliver safe, high-quality care to our residents. Working closely with the Home Health Administrator and clinical staff, you'll coordinate daily office operations, manage documentation, support staffing needs, maintain regulatory records, and ensure the department operates efficiently while delivering exceptional customer service. What You'll Do As our Home Health Administrative Assistant, you will: Coordinate the daily administrative operations of the Home Health office.Manage physician orders, documentation, and resident records.Assist with staff scheduling, payroll processing, and time-off requests.Support admissions, discharges, and changes in resident services.Maintain compliance documentation, certifications, licenses, and regulatory records.Order and maintain office and medical supplies.Coordinate communication between residents, families, physicians, nurses, and other departments.Support technology and office equipment used by the department.Maintain confidential resident and employee information.Provide outstanding customer service while supporting a collaborative healthcare team.Perform additional administrative and operational duties as assigned. Qualifications Required High School Diploma or GED.Three (3) or more years of progressively responsible experience in administrative support, office management, operations coordination, healthcare administration, or a related field.Strong organizational, communication, and customer service skills.Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office.Ability to learn new software systems and technology.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment.Valid driver's license, reliable transportation, and current automobile insurance. Preferred Associate's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Office Administration, or a related field.Experience in Home Health, Assisted Living, Skilled Nursing, Senior Living, Medical Office, Physician Practice, or another healthcare environment.Experience coordinating schedules, payroll, purchasing, documentation, compliance, or office operations.Experience supporting multiple departments or leaders.Current Indiana Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing.Current Indiana Home Health Aide (HHA) certification in good standing.Successful completion of a 75-hour Home Health Aide training program with eligibility for Indiana registration. (Free HHA certification program available with current CNA certification.)
