Menasha Packaging is hiring a Richmond Hiring Event 7/9/26 8am-4:30pm in Richmond, IN. This is a full-time position.

We have openings for Production Assistants (all shifts*forklift experience required) and Maintenance Technician (*electrical experience required).

Production Assistant:

Schedule/Hours

1st shift: 7: 00am-3: 00pm

2nd shift: 3: 00pm-11: 00pm

3rd shift: 11: 00pm-7: 00am

Crew A & B: 7: 00am-7: 00pm

Crew C & D: 7: 00pm-7: 00am

Compensation

$20.72 per hour

Key Duties and Responsibilities
  • Preparing and delivering products for conversion into finished items
  • Organizing final products for shipping and distribution
  • Sharing team goals and managing job assignments
  • Performing basic preventative maintenance on machines and equipment
  • Completing general housekeeping duties to maintain a continuously safe and clean team work environment


Education Desired

High School Diploma or Equivalent

Work Experience Required
  • Previous experience working on with a forklift or clamp truck
  • Two (2) or more years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial environment
  • Previous experience working in the corrugated industry


Knowledge, Skills, Or Abilities Desired
  • Maintaining strict adherence to all safety rules and regulations to include wearing safety equipment
  • Our Production Associates work any shift, including holidays, weekends, and overtime as needed in an unairconditioned, noisy, and high-volume environment


Physical Requirements
  • Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and / or pulling for at least eight (8) hours a day, up to 12 hours
  • Ability to lift 45 lbs.
  • Ability to work 8-12 hours in heat that may exceed 85 degrees
  • Ability to work 8-12 hours on your feet (standing/walking)


Maintenance Technician:

The maintenance personnel are responsible for maintaining and repairing all machinery and equipment within the facility to keep it in proper working order. As well as maintaining building equipment and facilities.

Crew D - 7: 00pm-7: 00am

Pay range: $33.50-$38.00 per hour

Essential Functions
  • Perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
  • Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and steam generators; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
  • Perform electrical trouble shooting and repairs using the proper tools and PPE
  • Work with or without production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical issues
  • Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEMs to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment
  • Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; and use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems
  • Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques
  • Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
  • Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
  • Use computer system to document work and account for parts
  • Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other modes
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
  • Required to participate on the Emergency Response Team
  • Perform other duties assigned by leads/management/supervisors
  • Support the installation of new equipment and the fabrication of custom parts
  • Assist in training employees on the proper maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment
  • Use schematics or drawings navigating PLC systems for troubleshooting


Education/Certification

Level Required: HS Diploma or equivalent

Level Desired: Journeyman Millwright Mechanic Card, Technical degree in Electro-Mechanical

Work Experience

Required: 5 or more years industrial maintenance, acquire mobile equipment licenses within 30 days

Desired : Corrugated manufacturing and converting experience
