Job Description
Menasha Packaging is hiring a Maintenance Technician II - Crew D in Richmond, IN. This is a full-time position.
Crew D - 7: 00pm-7: 00am
Pay range: $33.50-$38.00 per hour
Essential Functions
Education/Certification
Level Required: HS Diploma or equivalent
Level Desired: Journeyman Millwright Mechanic Card, Technical degree in Electro-Mechanical
Work Experience
Required: 5 or more years industrial maintenance, acquire mobile equipment licenses within 30 days
Desired : Corrugated manufacturing and converting experience
Pay range: $33.50-$38.00 per hour
Essential Functions
- Perform job duties in accordance with company safety policies and procedures
- Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, production machines and steam generators; following diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer's instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions
- Perform electrical trouble shooting and repairs using the proper tools and PPE
- Work with or without production personnel to troubleshoot mechanical issues
- Work in conjunction with outside contractors and/or vendors as well as OEMs to troubleshoot and make repairs to plant equipment
- Locate sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listen for problems; and use precision measuring and testing instruments to diagnose problems
- Control downtime by performing routine preventive maintenance techniques
- Fabricate repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs
- Use computer system to document work and account for parts
- Communicate with the team using verbal, written or electronic communication including phone, email, radio, or other modes
- Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
- Required to participate on the Emergency Response Team
- Perform other duties assigned by leads/management/supervisors
- Support the installation of new equipment and the fabrication of custom parts
- Assist in training employees on the proper maintenance and operation of machinery and equipment
- Use schematics or drawings navigating PLC systems for troubleshooting
