Job Overview: Linde is currently seeking Production/Fill Zone Technician in East Chicago, IN. Under the routine direction of the manager, will be responsible for a variety of complex operations and production duties in an ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA air separation environment where products include oxygen, nitrogen, argon and hydrogen. Primary Responsibilities: - Monitors equipment performance and makes minor adjustments such as set-ups, calibrations, troubleshooting, and product testing. Must know when to call other specialists when more serious malfunctions occur. - Measures and records various data associated with operating equipment. Utilizes standard repair procedures when necessary. - Responsibilities/duties are typically focused and routine at this level. ISO/FDA/QA/EPA/OSHA experience preferred. - Candidates would be working with rotating and/or process equipment that the technician maintains. - Gauges, valves, pressure switches, analyzers, etc. The candidates should have a general background in instrumentation and/or electrical, including PLC's. - The candidates will operate plant from computer. Minor repair and diagnostic troubleshooting required. - Job requires working outdoors year-round, climbing 150' tall columns, some heavy lifting, using man-lifts, and driving semi-trucks within the plant site. Fluent computer skills required. Must be willing to work overtime as required and be on call. Some local and overnight travel maybe required.
