Description:

Overall Responsibilities:

A Warehouse Manager oversees daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods. They lead a team, implement procedures, maintain inventory accuracy, and optimize warehouse processes to ensure smooth supply chain operations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervising Operations:

Managing the receiving, storage, order fulfillment, and shipping processes.
  • Team Leadership:

Hiring, training, and managing warehouse staff, fostering teamwork and accountability.
  • Inventory Management:

Maintaining accurate inventory levels, tracking stock, and implementing strategies for efficient storage and retrieval.
  • Safety and Compliance:

Enforcing safety regulations, maintaining a safe working environment, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Process Optimization:

Identifying areas for improvement in warehouse operations, implementing new technologies, and optimizing workflows.
  • Logistics Coordination:

Collaborating with logistics teams to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods.
  • Performance Monitoring:

Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess warehouse performance and identify areas for improvement.
  • Leadership and Management:

Ability to lead, motivate, and manage a team of warehouse employees.
  • Organizational Skills:

Strong ability to organize and prioritize tasks, manage multiple responsibilities, and maintain attention to detail.
  • Communication Skills:

Effective communication with staff, other departments, and external partners.
  • Problem-Solving Skills:

Ability to identify and resolve issues related to inventory, logistics, and staff performance.
  • Technical Skills:

Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS), barcode scanning, and other relevant technologies.
  • Safety Awareness:

Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures related to warehousing and materials handling.
  • Physical Stamina:

Ability to work in a warehouse environment may involve physical activity and long hours.

Educational and other requirements:
  • 5+ years of related experience required.
  • Ability to communicate effectively to direct and motivate others, maintaining a persuasive and credible presentation style at all levels of the organization.
  • A true "team-oriented" leader that embraces the idea that person is a "go-to" person.
  • Expertise with ERP systems (JDE is a plus)
  • Experience working with multiple facilities as a warehouse manager.
  • Proficient with computer systems and software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Power-Point, Outlook - Email.
  • Must be able to lead complex projects with limited oversite.
