Imagineering Finishing Technologies is hiring a Precision Assembly Technician | 1st & 3rd Shift in Indianapolis, IN. This is a full-time position.
Opportunities Available! We are currently hiring for Installation Technicians on both 1st Shift and 3rd Shift. If so, IFT Worldwide may be looking for you! As a Precision Assembly Technician (Keensert), you'll repair and reinforce threaded holes in metal components using specialized tools and equipment. You'll play an important role in ensuring our customers receive durable, reliable parts that meet exact engineering specifications. Job Summary: The Keensert Installation Technician is responsible for installing threaded inserts (Keenserts) into metal components to reinforce threads. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and the ability to follow technical specifications to ensure strong, reliable installations. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: Drill, tap, and install Keenserts in accordance with engineering specificationsRead and interpret blueprints, drawings, and work instructionsOperate hand tools, power tools, and insert installation equipmentInspect completed work for proper fit, alignment, and thread qualityRepair stripped or damaged threads using approved methodsMaintain quality standards and ensure accuracy in all installationsFollow safety guidelines and wear required PPEKeep work area clean and organizedDocument completed tasks and report issues or defectsPerforms other duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities: Experience in mechanical assembly, machining, or threaded insert installation preferredAbility to read and understand technical drawings and specificationsFamiliarity with drills, taps, torque tools, and precision measuring toolsStrong attention to detail and quality workmanshipBasic math and measurement skillsAbility to work independently and in a team environment Education and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent required.2 + years of related experience preferred.Physical Requirements: Prolonged periods of walking or standing.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times. Must wear required PPE including safety glasses.
