Your Role: Customer Service Specialist

This role supports the needs of the Elanco North America Customer Service and Distribution business with a focus of being a key contact for strategic Elanco customers. The role also supports internal and external customers regarding finished product order management/fulfillment for commercial, free goods and sample product. Customers include distributors, end users, Elanco sales representatives, internal or external personnel that need product distributed by one of the Elanco distribution centers. In addition, the position interacts with public warehouses throughout the U.S as well as third party manufacturers.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Timely, accurate and professional processing of customer orders and related inquiries received via phone, email, and proper handling of disputes and general finished good order management and subsequent invoicing.

  • Understanding of the animal health industry, Elanco distribution and sales practices as well as logistics/traffic, warehousing, regulatory compliance (cGMP, Sarbanes-Oxley) finance, manufacturing, quality assurance and all associated systems.

  • Ability to work in a team setting.

  • Attention to detail for documents and the ability to investigate and problem solve.

What You Need to Succeed (minimum qualifications):

  • Education: High School Diploma / GED

  • Experience: A minimum of 3 years of customer experience.

  • Top 2 skills: Data entry and communication skills working with entering orders and corresponding with customers daily.

What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications):

  • 5 Years or more of Customer experience is preferred.

  • SAP knowledge.

  • Excel knowledge for pulling reports

  • Call Center experience

  • Knowledge of the animal pharma industry

  • Travel: less than 5%
