POSITION SUMMARY

The position is located onsite at the company's corporate office in Elkhart, Indiana and reports to the company's Vice President of Human Resources.

The Corporate HR Generalist provides support and leads projects related to compliance, compensation and benefits administration, human resources information systems, recruitment, employee relations, team member development, performance management and other areas of Human Resources.

DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
  • Performs work with a focus on personal safety, while maintaining and enhancing an environment of safety for others.
  • Maintains compliance with federal and state regulations in all areas of assigned responsibility.
  • Recruits new team members, primarily for salaried and office hourly positions and coordinates onboarding.
  • Partners with site HR leaders to provide support with recruiting, employee relations, benefits administration, HRIS, and other HR matters as needs arise.
  • Performs benefits administration including issue resolution, internal and compliance reporting, audits, and supporting annual open enrollment.
  • Acts as Human Resources Information System (HRIS) super user and expands effective use of the HRIS by implementing or improving upon application of system modules and providing user tools and training.
  • Develops and administers human resources plans, policies, and procedures.
  • Administers performance evaluation and compensation programs.
  • Maintains records, reports, and logs to support internal data reporting requirements and to conform with regulations.
  • Performs other duties as needed to support team members and the successful functioning of the Human Resources team.
  • Occasional business travel is required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources or related discipline and three or more years of Human Resources experience in a manufacturing environment, or equivalent in combination of education and experience
  • Experience using HRIS
  • Knowledgeable of labor and employment laws
  • Strong written and verbal communication and conflict resolution skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Professional, trustworthy, and confidential
