Description:
Meadow Lakes is seeking an experienced and compassionate Director of Nursing (DNS) to lead our clinical team and oversee the delivery of high-quality resident care within our skilled nursing community. This leadership role is responsible for directing nursing operations, supporting staff development, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring excellence in clinical outcomes.
The Director of Nursing plays a vital role in creating a safe, supportive, and resident-centered environment while partnering with interdisciplinary teams to promote quality care and operational success.
Provide leadership and oversight of nursing services within the community
Support, mentor, and develop nursing staff to maintain high standards of care
Promote a positive, collaborative, and accountable work environment
Ensure delivery of safe, effective, and high-quality resident care
Oversee clinical operations, regulatory compliance, and quality initiatives
Collaborate with department leaders, physicians, consultants, and regulatory agencies
Maintain open and effective communication with residents, families, staff, and customers
Support the organization’s mission and commitment to senior care excellence
Supportive Presence: Creates a welcoming and compassionate environment for residents and staff
Leadership: Guides, inspires, and supports nursing teams while driving clinical excellence
Collaboration: Works effectively across departments and with external partners, including regulatory agencies
Strong Clinical Skills: Demonstrates sound clinical judgment, critical thinking, and nursing expertise
Teamwork: Builds strong relationships focused on excellent resident care
Interpersonal Communication: Maintains respectful, honest, and effective communication with staff, residents, and families
Current, valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana
Required: Previous leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting
Minimum of three years of clinical nursing experience in long-term care/geriatric care
Minimum of one year of management or supervisory experience in a skilled nursing environment
Strong passion for geriatric nursing and commitment to senior care excellence
Ability to work varying hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
Demonstrates C.A.R.E. values in interactions with residents, families, customers, and staff
