The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining production and quality by ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment in a high paced production stamping environment.
Pay Range: $29-$35 based on experience
We have one 2nd Shift 2pm - 10pm & one for 3rd shift 10pm - 6am - Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing maintenance on mechanical presses
press line related equipment
conveyor systems
overhead cranes
and various production machines; following diagrams
sketches
operations manuals
manufacturer's instructions
and engineering specifications; troubleshooting malfunctions - Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with Safety procedures
rules
and regulations - Perform preventative tasks associated on heavy industrial manufacturing equipment
- Locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation; listening for problems; using precision measuring and testing instruments
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists
cranes
and hand and power tools - Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules
calipers
micrometers
and other measuring instruments - Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment
- Proficient in rigging/lifting fundamentals required for large equipment replacements
- Maintains equipment
parts
and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment
parts
and supplies - Conserves maintenance resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions
irregularities
and continuing needs - Contributes to team efforts by accomplishing related results as needed
- Performs other duties as assigned

Desired Experience- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- 2+ years Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Knowledgeable of good safety practices and quality standards
- 8+ years Mechanical Maintenance experience in an industrial manufacturing setting
- Journeyman level skills supported by the successful completion of a Journeyman Mechanical Training
- Program or Mechanical Training Apprenticeship Program
- Experience with mechanical systems

and pneumatic equipment
Work environment will vary but there will be exposure to the warehouse environment which requires constant alertness of safety requirements and dangers as they will work near moving/rotating equipment and forklifts are frequently in the area. Some areas may be noisy and dirty/dusty. Environment can be high pressured to achieve schedules. Regularly required to stand

and stoop while managing heavy equipment and objects.
