The Asset Management Team Lead oversees all regional/specialty insurance premium finance portfolios within their team. Manages a team of collection representatives ensuring all tasks within the team are properly managed and maintained. Emphasis on cancelled loans including delinquency goals, aging, and minimizing losses. Providing and instilling quality customer service values including inbound/outbound calls, service requests, and attention to preserving collateral. Other responsibilities include leading, mentoring, and developing their team through coaching, proper delegating, and supporting goals/performance opportunities. Resolves conflict, handles escalated matters, while maintaining professional business-to-business partnerships with Agents, Carriers, Insureds, and internal personnel.

What You'll Do

  • Provides leadership and oversight to the team for all incoming service requests, including researching and investigating discrepancies, documents all communication with internal and external parties, and processes loan updates and adjustment in the loan management system.
  • Oversees all regional/specialty portfolios within their team by, analyzing and/or monitoring daily reports and prioritizing the teams’ daily tasks to manage team portfolio performance. Develop and maintain effective relationships with agents and other external/internal parties.
  • Support team goals of minimizing loan aging and exposure/shortages by contacting insurance carriers and general agents to confirm cancellation and obtain return premium amounts. Verifies unearned premium credit (i.e. collateral), investigate discrepancies, and follows up for receipt of funds
  • Prepare, analyze, and monitor various reports to track team performance metrics, identify trends and progress and recommend improvements to management as needed.
  • Provide leadership and coordination to help team members meet and exceed in their goals. Resolving obstacles and optimizing workflows within their team. Manages miscellaneous projects and tasks as required for the dept. and manages any team-based projects, ensuring timely completion and alignment within dept. objectives.

Qualifications

  • High School Degree or equivalent
  • 3-5 years experience; Asset Management preferred
  • General computer skills
  • Ability to coach and mentor a team while fostering collaboration and communication

Compensation

The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.00 - $31.25 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
