Job location –Rosemont, IL- The position is based in Rosemont, IL, but remote work anywhere in the U.S. will be considered.

Responsibilities:

The Senior Systems Engineer is responsible for providing senior subject matter expertise within the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) platform. The Senior Systems Engineer’s primary responsibility is for vulnerability management on the Server Infrastructure platforms.

Manage and evolve the Microsoft Endpoint Configuration Management (MECM) platform.

Identify vulnerabilities and execute remediation steps using MECM and/or 3rd party patching utilities across the Server infrastructure platforms.

Develop a formal software distribution process allowing for maintenance of client side software on server endpoints.

Implement monitoring, configuration management and reporting functions that will make a hands-off environment and assist in the design

Assist in defining and documenting best practices and support procedures.

Maintain inventory and asset configuration documentation.

Stay current with technological developments in systems administration technology and recommend ways to take advantage of new technology.

Assist in conducting research and making recommendations on Vulnerability remediation products/ Windows Server/AD / VMWARE, services, protocols, and standards in support of procurement and development efforts.

Respond to as needed and work to resolve all critical incidents.

Work closely with various business users to define solutions that meet user expectations.

Assist in identifying improvement opportunities and facilitating innovation.

Effectively managing small to large projects in a cross-functional environment.

Work with long-established senior and lead staff and follow up on tasks.

Communicate technical information in a concise and articulate manner.

Support the definition and development of documentation, procedures, and standards for MECM / Windows Server/AD /VMWARE enterprise environments.

Support the evaluation and recommendation of tools and new technologies for the MECM/ Windows Server/AD / VMWARE enterprise environments.

Assist in performing impact analyses, research products, configure software, and establish standards and procedures that support the company's MECM / Windows Server /AD/VMWARE environment needs.

Assist in the root cause analysis for problems and drive strong preventive actions.

Participate in the on-call production support rotation and may occasionally be required to work hours outside of the traditional work schedule.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Information Systems Security, Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or a related field plus 5 years of relevant experience in System Administration or related experience.

Compensation:

The estimated salary range for this role is $148, 949.00 - $150, 000.00, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
