    Wintrust is hiring a Senior Copywriter with financial services marketing experience to be the driving force behind the voice of our brand. The Senior Copywriter will lead the concept and execution of innovative marketing copy for a wide range of briefs while managing and mentoring the team of Marketing Copywriters.

    What You'll Do

    • Manage, lead, and inspire a team of in-house copywriters, providing a clear vision while fostering growth.
    • Develop and maintain the brand's voice standards and messaging strategies to drive brand consistency and evolution across multiple business lines.
    • Oversee, edit, and write copy for all lines of business and touchpoints. This role's copy purview is broad and requires the ability to pivot seamlessly between asset types and direct others to do the same.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional partners to maintain seamless communication, understand and influence their priorities and goals, and effectively translate creative strategy when required.
    • Analyze campaign results to identify performance gaps and collaborate with copywriters to develop targeted solutions.
    • Lead brainstorming sessions and participate in strategic planning sessions.
    • Persuasively present work and own client interactions at all levels.
    • Maintain compliance and brand standards on all marketing materials.
    • Manage copywriters’ day-to-day activities, including reviewing their work and providing expert guidance on concepting, writing, editing, and handling feedback.
    • Implement a strong performance culture across the copy team while conducting regular performance reviews and providing feedback to optimize individual and team output.
    • Keep team and projects on track, taking advantage of our project management system.
    • Develop ideas and concepts by staying current with financial services marketing, LOB, and audience trends and platforms, and leading creative ideas and opinions at meetings.
    • Explore and recommend new and innovative ways to tell our brand narrative.

    Qualifications

    • 7+ years’ experience in financial copywriting, preferably in-house.
    • 3+ years’ experience leading others and managing a team.
    • Portfolio demonstrating smart, brand-building ideas and executions for B2C and B2B campaigns is required.
    • A highly conceptual and very organized creative with proven experience in campaign thinking.
    • Experience leading a team to work on multiple projects simultaneously, independently managing their schedules, and reliably delivering strong work on time.
    • An understanding of the functional and design implications of each character count and turn of phrase.
    • Ability to communicate with others and exchange information accurately and effectively.
    • Familiarity with AP Style or similar editorial standards; ability to quickly learn and apply our in-house style guide
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office, project management platforms (Workfront, Monday), and various marketing and design programs.

    Compensation

    The estimated salary range for this role is $90, 000 - $115, 000 along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience
