Job Description Summary
Full-time receptionist of the second-floor desk at 231 S. LaSalle, ensuring that all Wintrust guests receive consistent, exemplary customer service while supporting the daily office operations of 2FL and 3FL of Wintrust Financial Corporation headquarters downtown. This position is 100% in-office. Hours are Monday through Friday, 8AM-5PM.
What You’ll Do
Guest Experience: Provide a branded, warm-welcoming, and efficient process. The receptionist will be the first point of contact and the "face" of the company. Polished image and business attire is a requirement.
Guest Management: Utilize Visitor Management Systems to oversee check-in/check-out process, pre-register guests and issue appropriate badges, and contact appropriate individuals upon arrival of guests.
Calendar Management of Conference Rooms/Hotel Desks: Assist staff with reserving rooms and office space. Assist with ordering meals.
Collaboration and Communication: Work with the Office Management Team and various Wintrust groups and Executives (e.g. Tech Support, Corporate Real Estate, Corporate Real Estate) that support 231 South LaSalle, including the Security Guards and JLL Building Management. Respond to general Office Management inquiries.
Front Desk Supply Management: Ensure the front desk is well supplied, clean and organized. A professional presentation of the 2FL front desk area is essential.
Mail Management: Support Office Management Team to receive packages, documents and distribute mail.
Expense Management: Support Office Management Team to track expenses.
Other: Provide other administrative support as necessary and special projects as assigned by Office Manager and Team Lead.
Required Skills/Abilities
Communication & Interpersonal Skills: Active listening, clear verbal communication for phone/in-person, and professional email drafting.
Technical Proficiency: familiarity with software like Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel), Outlook, and specialized scheduling/client management tools.
Multitasking: Handling multiple, simultaneous tasks like phones, visitors, and emails without compromising quality.
Reliability & Discretion: Maintaining confidentiality, punctuality, and dependability
Customer Service & Problem-Solving: Ability to handle difficult callers or visitors professionally, identify the root cause of issues, and provide quick, efficient solutions.
Professionalism: Representing the company's image positively.
Adaptability: Ability to adjust to changes.
Administrative Support: Managing data entry with close attention to detail and organizing information.
Education and Experience
3 years of relevant experience preferably in a receptionist role.
Associate's degree or equivalent

Compensation
The estimated hourly rate for this role is $24.00-$27.88, with eligibility for an annual bonus. Actual pay rate may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills, and experience.
