Position Overview
A Principal Project Manager, with the help of their team, is charged with multiple responsibilities that span the five project phases of a project life cycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing). The project management phases intersect with 10 knowledge areas, which include integration, scope, time, cost/finance, quality, human resources, communication, risk procurement, and stakeholder management.
What You’ll Do
Project Leadership: Guide and motivate the project team to execute project plans, manage resources, and resolve challenges.
Strategic Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
Execution and Oversight: Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring tasks are completed, milestones are met, and quality standards are maintained.
Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor key metrics and report on project status to stakeholders.
Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the project.
Team Development: Mentor and coach project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.
Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and identifying opportunities to refine methodologies and enhance efficiency.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
10+ years of Project Management experience (Preferably within Banking and/or Financial Services).
Experience proactively managing project spend including reporting of actuals and the creation of the budget.
Experience in Project Management theory and/or software.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite including Excel, Word and Power Point required.
Project Management experience in the financial services industry, especially banking (Preferred)
Advanced degree (i.e., MBA) or PMP Certification (Preferred).

Compensation
The estimated salary range for this role is $135, 000-$155, 000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
