Position Overview

A Principal Project Manager, with the help of their team, is charged with multiple responsibilities that span the five project phases of a project life cycle (initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, and closing). The project management phases intersect with 10 knowledge areas, which include integration, scope, time, cost/finance, quality, human resources, communication, risk procurement, and stakeholder management.

What You’ll Do

• Project Leadership: Guide and motivate the project team to execute project plans, manage resources, and resolve challenges.

• Strategic Planning: Define project scope, goals, and deliverables. Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.

• Execution and Oversight: Oversee all phases of project execution, ensuring tasks are completed, milestones are met, and quality standards are maintained.

• Performance Monitoring: Track project progress, identify potential risks, and implement mitigation strategies. Proactively monitor key metrics and report on project status to stakeholders.

• Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Manage expectations and ensure clear, consistent communication throughout the project.

• Team Development: Mentor and coach project team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment.

• Process Improvement: Champion continuous improvement by analyzing project outcomes and identifying opportunities to refine methodologies and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.

• 10+ years of Project Management experience (Preferably within Banking and/or Financial Services).

• Experience proactively managing project spend including reporting of actuals and the creation of the budget.

• Experience in Project Management theory and/or software.

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office product suite including Excel, Word and Power Point required.

• Project Management experience in the financial services industry, especially banking (Preferred)

• Advanced degree (i.e., MBA) or PMP Certification (Preferred).

Compensation

The estimated salary range for this role is $135, 000-$155, 000, along with eligibility to earn an annual bonus. Actual salaries may vary based on several factors, such as a candidate’s qualifications, skills and experience.
