Job Overview
- Responsible for assisting the counseling center staff to execute their responsibilities effectively and efficiently.
- This position is a direct report to the Director of the Counseling Center.
- Position is 0.75 (FTE). The hours for this position are 40 hrs/week, 9 months a year. This position pays approximately $20/hr.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Receive students, faculty, and staff in a professional, cordial manner.
- Coordinate the administration of consent forms and initial assessment documents and make new client profiles in electronic record keeping system.
- Schedule appointments and answer phones for the counseling staff, coordinate schedules, monitor schedule changes and notify parties affected, and manage wait list.
- Maintain files of correspondence, student records, and office documents, including budget and expenditures.
- Develop and type correspondence, forms, reports, publicity documents, and other materials.
- Develop, coordinate, and operate data processing in conjunction with statistical reports, budgets, word processing, and electronic files as appropriate.
- Assist the counseling staff in the development and production of counseling budgets, publicity documents, and counselor evaluations. Monitor department payroll recording.
- Assist the Director in the coordination and implementation of outreach events including but not limited to, De-Stress Fest, therapy dog visits and the like.
- Inventory and order office supplies and maintain reception/hospitality supplies.
- Maintain the appearance and décor of the counseling suite and reception area.

- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Organizational and administrative skills
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Word processing skills
