Description:

Position: Jazz Ensemble Director

The Conservatory of Music at Wheaton College (Illinois) invites application for a part-time guest lecturer position in jazz to begin August 2026. Primary responsibilities for this position include providing leadership for the jazz ensemble program, including recruitment on and off-campus, promotion, programming, and conducting rehearsals, sectionals, and concerts.

Salary range: $935 per credit hour for a faculty member with an MA and fewer than 3 years of experience teaching at Wheaton - $1100 per credit hour for a faculty member with a PhD.

Applicants should have evidence of successful teaching experience in jazz, and minimum of an earned master's degree in music. Priority will be given to applicants with records of strong teaching, accomplished performance, and Christian faith.
