A Brief Overview
The Maintenance Systems Manager is responsible for leading the enterprise strategy, governance, standardization, and continuous improvement of maintenance systems across Voyant Beauty's manufacturing network. This role serves as the corporate leader for Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), maintenance reporting, reliability initiatives, asset management, and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) performance. The Maintenance Systems Manager partners closely with Maintenance, Engineering, Operations, Reliability, Quality, IT, and EHS teams to establish standardized maintenance processes, improve asset visibility, enhance data integrity, and drive reliability-centered maintenance practices across multiple manufacturing facilities. This position plays a critical role in improving equipment uptime, maintenance effectiveness, operational efficiency, and maintenance accountability throughout the organization.
What you will do
- Lead the implementation, administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the enterprise CMMS platform across all manufacturing facilities.
- Develop and standardize maintenance processes, preventive maintenance programs, asset hierarchies, spare parts management practices, and work order workflows across the network.
- Establish, monitor, and manage enterprise maintenance KPIs, dashboards, reporting structures, and performance metrics to improve visibility and accountability.
- Develop and maintain a standardized OEE reporting framework, including downtime categorization, loss analysis, performance tracking, and root cause analysis methodologies.
- Drive reliability improvement initiatives focused on preventive maintenance optimization, predictive maintenance expansion, asset reliability, and equipment uptime.
- Lead maintenance data governance efforts, ensuring asset accuracy, system integrity, reporting consistency, and compliance with enterprise standards.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, Quality, IT, Validation, and EHS teams to align maintenance strategies with operational and business objectives.
- Lead enterprise training, user adoption, and change management efforts related to CMMS implementation, maintenance systems, and reporting processes.
- Support capital projects, equipment commissioning activities, and maintenance systems integration initiatives.
- Establish enterprise standards for preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, asset management, and reliability programs.
- Support CAPA investigations involving equipment failures, maintenance process gaps, and reliability concerns.
- Facilitate performance review meetings and KPI reporting cadences across sites.
- Develop and maintain maintenance documentation standards and audit readiness requirements.
- Promote Lean Manufacturing, TPM, and continuous improvement methodologies throughout the maintenance organization.
- Build organizational capability through training, coaching, and maintenance best practice sharing.
- Support enterprise maintenance budgeting, planning, and strategic initiatives.
- Ability to work in manufacturing environments and production areas.
- Ability to inspect equipment, access elevated platforms, and walk manufacturing facilities.
- Frequent use of computers and office equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with employees, contractors, vendors, and leadership teams.
- Remote or plant-based position supporting multiple manufacturing facilities.
- Frequent interaction with maintenance, engineering, operations, quality, IT, and leadership teams.
- Occasional off-hours support during major maintenance system implementations, equipment failures, or production events.
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Reliability Engineering, Industrial Technology, Manufacturing Engineering, or related technical discipline. (Required)
Experience Qualifications
- 7-9 years of maintenance, reliability, manufacturing systems, engineering, or asset management experience. (Required)
- 7-9 years demonstrated experience implementing, administering, and optimizing CMMS platforms in manufacturing environments. (Required)
- 7-9 years developing maintenance KPIs, OEE reporting systems, and performance dashboards. (Required)
- 7-9 years understanding of preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance, reliability engineering, and asset management principles. (Required)
- 7-9 years leading cross-functional projects and driving change across multiple facilities. (Required)
- 7-9 years advanced data analysis and reporting capabilities. (Required)
- 7-9 years multi-site manufacturing leadership experience. (Preferred)
- 7-9 years leading enterprise-wide CMMS implementations. (Preferred)
- 7-9 years with Fiix CMMS or similar maintenance management systems. (Preferred)
- 7-9 years within regulated manufacturing environments including personal care, cosmetics, pharmaceutical, OTC, food & beverage, or consumer products manufacturing. (Preferred)
