Vitalant is hiring an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist IV to bring skilled technical support to our high complexity testing reference laboratory.

What to Expect

Schedule: Evenings 3: 00 PM - 11: 30 PM (rotates W/E on call 1x every 4-6 weeks)

As a Med Lab Scientist, you'll get to:

• Perform high complexity testing in immunohematology, including antibody identification, antigen typing, absorptions, elution, and crossmatch.
• Provide technical support to hospital transfusion services.
• Review and report test results, participate in investigative studies, participate in quality control, preventative maintenance, and validations.
• Conduct training, observations, competency assessments and documentation.
• Participate in technical investigative studies.

Requirements

• Must satisfy CLIA equivalent for high complexity testing required.
• Specialist in Blood Banking (SBB) certification required.
• Five years of laboratory testing experience required.
• One year of IRL experience preferred.
