Vitalant is seeking Union Drivers dedicated to making a positive difference. Your impact as a Union Driver is vital. As a member of our Teamsters 727 Union courier team, you will support Vitalant's life-saving mission by utilizing your communication and customer service skills to establish relationships with hospital staff while delivering and transporting blood and blood product. Additionally, actively participate in the pickup of collected blood and our donor centers.

What to Expect

Schedule: 9: 00 AM - 5: 30 PM 5 days per week and every other weekend. Days will fluctuate.

As a Union Driver, you will get to:
  • Maintain a great rapport with hospitals and vendors that we service.
  • Successfully deliver and transport blood, supplies, equipment, or other blood products.
  • Demonstrate safe operation of vehicle.
  • Manage the safe handling, cleaning, and tracking of biowaste.
  • Use exceptional problem-solving skills to manage weather-related driving issues as they arise.


Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED Equivalent required
  • 6 months of similar experience preferred
  • Clean driving record with valid driver's license required
  • Able to lift 50+ lbs. with the assistance of a hand cart
