Description:

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develop, present, and track technical training on weld processes.
  • Develop technical-based curriculum and training materials in conjunction with weld processes.
  • Design and build training aids to be used during training including but not limited to:
    • Navigation of Web Apps
    • EDL process
    • Use of drawings, BOM, and other weld details
    • Details of Build Tickets and how they are applicable to weld
    • How to read weld blueprints and weld symbols
    • JDE production stock status
    • Kronos labor reporting
    • Check Sheet training
    • How to use fixtures and templates
    • How to use weld machines and consumables
    • Ergonomics of welding
  • Develop and complete, in collaboration with supervisors, monthly training to all weld employees.
  • Interact with all groups within the Engineering, Paint, Assembly, and Test departments to improve the quality and content of our information to employees.
  • Perform quality audits of units in process
  • Non-Conformance Focus in Weld
  • 5-phase correction action process
  • Develop task specific training instructions
  • Perform other duties, assignments, and special projects as assigned.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required. Bachelor's Degree preferred.
  • Understanding of weld processes is required.
  • CWI certification is preferred. (Must be able to obtain within 24 months if required).
  • Experience with reading blueprints and schematics is required.
  • Experience with training is preferred.
  • Knowledge of Vactor products is preferred.
  • Ability to operate Microsoft Office Products to create training documents.
  • Ability to seek out knowledge as needed.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong Problem Solving and Critical thinking skills
  • Must be flexible to meet with all 3 shifts as needed.

Salary Range - $75k-90k
