Job Description

University of Wisconsin Hospitals and Clinics Authority is hiring a Financial Counselor in Rockford, IL. This is a full-time position.

Work Schedule:
This is a full time, 1.0 FTE position. Eight hours shifts, between the hours of 7: 30 AM - 4: 00 PM, will be scheduled Monday-Friday. Hours may vary based on the operational needs of the department. This is a hybrid position with one day per week required onsite at 2550 Charles Street, Rockford, IL.

We are seeking a Financial Counselor to:
  • Provide patients with estimated costs for upcoming services.
  • Assist patients in understanding the billing prepayment process.
  • Review patients coverage to determine overall cost for the patients specific plan of care.

Qualifications
  • High School Diploma Or equivalent Required
  • Associate's Degree In Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or related field Preferred


Work Experience
  • 1 year Experience in Health Care Revenue Cycle, insurance, or financial institution Required
  • 2 years Experience in Healthcare Revenue Cycle Preferred
