Job Summary

This position provides assistance to Manager-Contract Administration, by means of collecting data and preparing and reviewing Government invoicing and reviewing TriWest internal controls.

Education & Experience

Required:
o High School Diploma or GED
o Three (3) years of experience in an accounting related field

Preferred:
o Associate's (AA/AS) Degree in Accounting or related field
o General Ledger, invoicing, and reconciliation experience
o Healthcare Industry Experience

Key Responsibilities

o Invoicing of key Government contract line items
o Prepare and review costing spreadsheets for review of supervisor
o Maintains frequent contact with all areas of TriWest in gathering data concerning change orders.
o Tracks incoming and outgoing contract correspondence and drafts correspondence as needed. Maintain a department database so information can be tracked and pulled as needed.
o Reviews cost proposals prepared by others in Contract Administration and reviews TriWest's and subcontractor's proposed costs for current, accurate and complete presentation.
o Assists in analyzing the effectiveness of internal controls in place through testing and process review.
o Partners with the process owners and Subject Matter Experts to implement enhanced internal control processes.
o Partners with the process owners and Subject Matter Experts to develop and implement enhanced desktop procedures.

o Collaborates with TriWest staff to obtain detailed information about operations, discuss options regarding enhanced internal controls, and communicate project results in a clear, professional manner.
o Coordinates confidential information and maintain confidentiality of it.
o Regular and reliable attendance is required.

Technical Skills: Knowledge of fundamentals of accounting and sound business processes; Extensive Knowledge of Microsoft Excel; Proficient with Word; Research and project management skills; Knowledge of GAAP.

Working Conditions

Working Conditions:
o Availability to work non-regular hours as required.
o Works within a standard office environment, with minimal travel required
o Extensive computer work with long periods of sitting
