Job Summary

The HRIS and Business Systems Analyst serves as a key technical and analytical partner to the Human Resources department, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and strategic use of HR data across the organization. This role is responsible for optimizing HR data systems by maintaining data quality, enhancing system functionality, and developing solutions that support organizational goals. The HRIS Analyst will lead data governance efforts, support system integrations, develop advanced reporting and analytics, and collaborate with Finance, IT, and Data team stakeholders to drive continuous improvement. They will also provide high level customer service, technical expertise, and training to HRIS users across the organization.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Leads data governance efforts to ensure accuracy, consistency, and reliability of People data across all modules and integrations.
  • Designs, develops, and maintains advanced reports, dashboards, and analytics using UKG or comparable HRIS reporting tools.
  • Interprets and translates complex data into actionable insights for HR leadership and organizational executives.
  • Self‑initiates regular audits, reconciliations, and data quality checks; identifies root causes of data issues and implements corrective actions.
  • Partners with HR, IT, and organizational leadership to evaluate system needs, identify enhancements, and implement solutions that improve HR processes and user experience.
  • Manages system configuration, workflows, security roles, and permissions to ensure proper access and compliance.
  • Leads HRIS upgrades, new module implementations, integrations, and system testing.
  • Serves as the primary technical resource for HRIS issues, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution.
  • Coordinates with IT and external vendors (including UKG support) to resolve system issues and optimize performance.
  • Develops and maintains documentation for system processes, configurations, and data standards.
  • Works closely with the organizational data/analytics team to align HR data with enterprise‑wide reporting standards.
  • Partners with HR functional leaders to understand business needs and translate them into system requirements or reporting solutions.
  • Develops and delivers training materials, user guides, and self‑service resources for HRIS users at all levels.
  • Ensures HRIS compliance with data privacy, security standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintains strict confidentiality and adheres to organizational data governance policies.
  • Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Technology, Business Analytics, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience working with HRIS platforms, with direct experience in UKG (Pro, Ready, or Dimensions) or comparable software. Experience should include report writing and analytics, building and troubleshooting complex reports using HRIS tools, SQL, or BI platforms.
  • Proficiency in Excel; Some experience with SQL Server, relational databases, or similar technologies is strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrates advanced analytical thinking via interpreting complex data and converting insights into practical recommendations.
