Description:

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Full-time. Day shift hours. M-F; 7am - 7pm variable. You will work at the UW Health Belvidere Clinic.

We are currently seeking a Medical Assistant (RMA, AAMA, CCMA or NCCT) to:
  • Perform a variety of patient care duties including taking vital signs, recording patient histories, EKG's, medication reconciliation, specimen collections. Under the authority and delegation of a physician may perform certain other tasks or duties. Alerts provider/nurse of emergent patient needs.
  • Prepares patients for examination, treatment and procedures.
  • Provide quality care in a compassionate environment where teamwork is highly valued, and exceptionalism and innovation are encouraged.

Additional components of compensation may include:
  • Evening, night, and weekend shift differential
  • Overtime
  • On-call pay

Qualifications

  • Graduated from an accredited Associate degree program or Medical Assistant program or have at least 2 years of relevant experience. Required
  • Must provide copy of HS diploma or equivalent, or highest level of completed degree obtained. Required


Work Experience

  • At least one year of professional experience in a clinic setting. Preferred
  • Computer experience. Required


Licenses & Certifications

  • AAMA certification is required upon hire or verification of a passing score on the AAMA certification exam and subsequent AAMA certification obtained within 90 days of hire. Required
  • Bi-annual CPR certification. Required
  • Active AAMA certification must be maintained. Required
