Job Description

SwedishAmerican Hospital is hiring a Billing Specialist Clinical Research in Rockford, IL. This is a full-time position.

Work Schedule:

100% FTE, Monday through Friday, 8 hour shift between 7: 00am- 4: 00pm; no weekends or holidays.t, this is a hybrid position, in person work location will be UW Health N. Bell School Rd. Clinic 3535 Bell School Rd.

Additional components of compensation may include:

Evening, night, and weekend shift differential

Overtime

On-call pay

Qualifications

  • Post-secondary education or certification in medical coding, business or health-related field. Required or
  • Three (3) years of experience in medical billing may be considered in lieu of post-secondary education or certification in addition to the experience below. Required
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or heath-related field. Preferred


Work Experience

  • 1 year of coding or medical billing experience. Required
  • Experience in an academic health system. Preferred
  • Experience with Epic applications. Preferred


Licenses & Certifications

  • Certified Professional Coder (CPC) or equivalent. Preferred
