Job Description
ORBIS Corporation is hiring a Manager, Warehouse in Normal, IL. This is a full-time position.
Key Duties & Responsibilities
1. Oversee salaried shift supervisors on three shifts
2. Lead the day-to-day operations of the shipping and receiving department.
3. Assist in managing inventory control programs across all material types to ensure accurate inventory and drive inventory reductions.
4. Oversee the shipping and receiving functions to optimize flow while facilitating a working warehouse and off-site warehouse, when applicable.
5. Facilitate and execute continuous improvement activities.
Other duties as assigned.
Performance Measures and Outcomes
Education/Certification
Level Required: High school diploma or equivalent
Level Desired: Bachelor's Degree
APICS CPIM
Work Experience
Required: 5-10 years of relevant work experience
Desired: 2-5 years of experience in leadership
Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
1. Ability to handle the stress of working with others
2. Ability to be available outside of normal work hours
3. Ability to cover supervisory absenteeism/position vacancy on any shift as needed
4. Ability to assess employee performance and coach and develop others
5. Ability to lead by example
6. Ability to interact and communicate effectively with a wide variety of roles
7. Ability to use and influence organizational policies, standards and procedures guiding manufacturing practices
8. Ability to effectively manage the business relationship and transactions with the suppliers of raw materials or product components
