Description:

Key Duties and Responsibilities

1. Manage critical shortages, develop and execute shipping plans and schedules, ensuring successful outcomes within scope, budget, time and quality parameters.

2. Lead daily critical shortage meetings with leadership, manage action items.

3. Tracks and analyzes packaging inventories and shipments, providing direction on work in process, finished goods and aged inventories to reduce space consumption and maintain inventory integrity.

4. Act as a liaison between functional groups both internal and external; to execute plans and ensure clear lines of communication throughout the supply chain.

5. Apply comprehensive problem-solving tools such as root cause and 5 whys and management experience to analyze and resolve complex problems; drive continuous improvement by designing and implementing solutions and process modifications as needed.

6. Provide weekly, monthly and quarterly reports to support customer and management requirements; plan, coordinate and prepare comprehensive reporting packages for review meetings.

7. Ensure compliance of operating procedures as defined in position work instructions.

8. Work with IT and the leadership team to design reports that predict issues before they occur.

9. Other duties as assigned.

Education/Certification

Level Required: High School or Equivalent

Level Desired: Bachelor's degree

Work Experience

Required: At least 3 years of experience in a distribution, logistics or manufacturing environment

Desired: Experience within a reusable packaging company

Additional Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

1. Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

2. Experience with MRP, WMS, TMS or related supply chain planning systems.

3. Strong logical thinking abilities; able to perform with initiative, intuition, flexibility and accuracy.

4. Strong ability to multitask and prioritize workload.

5. Solid data management capabilities, ability to structure large volumes of data into actionable information.

6. Outstanding presentation, teambuilding and collaboration/facilitation skills; excellent verbal and written communication skills.

7. Strong problem-solving techniques, knowledge of root cause analysis.

8. Strong verbal and written communication, organizational and time management skills.

9. Ability to create solutions-based reports to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.

10. Availability to work a flexible schedule.

11. Ability to handle the stress of working with others.

12. Ability to coach and develop others.

13. Availability outside of normal business hours.
