Job Description
NORR is hiring a BIM Coordinator, Restaurants in Chicago, IL. This is a full-time position, and paying $60,000.00–$80,000.00/year.
This role reports into the above mentioned office, however NORR offers all of its employees the opportunity to work either from home or from a NORR office.

The Role
You are a BIM Coordinator who will support multidisciplinary project teams within a dynamic architecture and engineering environment. This role is responsible for ensuring that BIM models are accurate, coordinated, and aligned to support efficient and constructible project delivery.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with project teams, consultants, and Design Technology to manage model quality, resolve coordination issues, facilitate collaboration, reinforce BIM standards, and provide targeted guidance that helps staff apply BIM workflows consistently in project delivery.

Success in this role is defined by the ability to maintain accurate and coordinated models across disciplines, reduce rework through proactive clash detection and issue resolution, support integrated design delivery through consistent BIM practices, provide practical support that builds staff confidence with BIM workflows, and enable project teams to collaborate effectively using digital tools and workflows.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Coordination & Model Management
The BIM Coordinator is responsible for developing, maintaining, and coordinating BIM models across active projects while supporting model setup, auditing, and overall model health. This includes ensuring models are accurate, organized, and aligned with project standards and delivery requirements.
Standards, Quality & Compliance
The role applies BIM execution plans, standards, templates, and workflows consistently across projects while conducting model audits and quality reviews to ensure compliance. The BIM Coordinator identifies coordination risks and workflow gaps and communicates them to project teams to support effective delivery.
Clash Detection & Coordination
The BIM Coordinator performs clash detection and coordination reviews using approved tools, tracks coordination issues through to resolution, and supports coordination meetings and model exchange processes aligned with project timelines.
Project Team Support & Collaboration
This role provides hands-on BIM support and troubleshooting to project teams, assists with modeling workflows and coordination tools, offers targeted coaching where needed, and works collaboratively with consultants, discipline leads, and Design Technology resources to maintain alignment across project stakeholders.
Digital Workflow & Technical Support
The BIM Coordinator supports the implementation and effective use of BIM collaboration platforms and digital delivery tools while identifying opportunities to improve coordination efficiency and enhance project workflows.
Continuous Improvement & Risk Management
The role identifies recurring coordination and model challenges, supports the refinement of BIM standards and workflows, contributes to informal learning opportunities that strengthen team capability, and escalates significant risks where appropriate to improve overall project delivery and organizational capability.
What You Bring
You bring a diploma or degree in Architecture, Architectural Technology, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline, along with 3–5 years of BIM coordination experience supporting active design projects. You have advanced proficiency in Revit, a strong understanding of BIM standards and coordination workflows, and experience supporting clash detection, model exchanges, and issue resolution. You are detail-oriented with a proactive, problem-solving mindset, are comfortable troubleshooting BIM and workflow challenges in live project environments, and can communicate technical guidance clearly to help project staff adopt consistent BIM practices.
Salary Range
$60, 000.00 – $80, 000.00 annually
