Your JobOur Molex facility in Bolingbrook, IL is currently seeking qualified candidates to join our team as a Project Engineer. The Project Engineer will work with members of the management lead team, Engineering, Assembly/machine build team, Suppliers, other Molex manufacturing sites and design centers t o lead design, builds, and debugging of automation equipment.
The ideal candidate is someone with design experience to assist with projects and to grow into a Project Engineer.

Our group is under the medical division, but our work is available to all divisions within Koch. We design custom automation for customers and out plants. Most of our work is medically related and therefore bound for a clean room environment.
What You Will Do• Lead customer development projects, including the coordination of team activities such as: facilitating group meetings, compiling summary documentation, and reporting project status to management.
• Interface with customers and/or Molex sites where appropriate to support assigned development projects.
• Develop firm, budgetary, and ROM quotes for different types of automation/machine solutions.
• Review new technologies and emerging products/applications and determine if they can be used on current or future projects.
• Work with design engineers to develop/troubleshoot design solutions & product assembly methods.
• Support projects in a design engineering role. Projects may be led by other project engineers, or they may be your own.
- This includes complete CAD design, detailing individual part and assembly prints, and managing files appropriately using a PDM software
• Teach new techniques, processes, and technologies to production personnel.
• Maintain accurate and complete records of assigned engineering projects.
• Develop and write process and equipment operating procedures.
• Participate in or lead special projects, new programs and technology transfers.
• Travel to Molex sites/plants for equipment installation, equipment review, quote inquiries, various training.
• Follow company policy and procedures to communicate changes.
• Maintain a safe work environment and good housekeeping practices.
• Understand, support and contribute to current Market Based Management and the Guiding Principles, Six Sigma, FDA requirements, International Standards Organization (ISO) and Environmental, and/or Health and Safety (EH& S) Management Systems by following stated policies and procedures.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
• Two (2) years or more experience as a design engineer
• Project management experience
• Experience in machine design
• Experience with SolidWorks, NX, or PDM software
What Will Put You Ahead- Five (5) years or more experience with mechanical design or automation design
- Experience working in an environment where automation machinery is built/debugged
For this role, we anticipate paying $90, 000 - $110, 000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
