Your Job

Molex is looking for a Product Manager for Sensing Solutions to lead the front end of new business creation in automotive sensing. You will identify market opportunities, engage with customers early, shape product and market strategies, and drive quoting decisions that have lasting business impact.

This is a strategic leadership role focused on defining what to build, why it matters, and how it delivers value, while collaborating closely with engineering, operations, and commercial teams to ensure successful execution.

In this role, success looks like:

  • Establishing a fact-based and Voice of customer-based market landscape and creating a path to market for Molex in the first 12 months
  • Lead opportunity pipeline creation and resulting RFQs that result in awarded business
  • Lead the sensor team to create a positive value proposition for Molex in select sensing solutions and collaborate with the shared resources within Molex to drive results
  • Shape strategy for the next 5 years for the product family


Our Team

You'll join a cross-functional product organization responsible for shaping and scaling our sensing solutions business. Our team brings together engineering, commercial, operations, and market-facing roles to build new product capabilities, partner with key technology providers, and deliver differentiated sensing solutions to customers across industrial, automotive, and data center applications.

We operate with an entrepreneurial mindset in our Principle Based Management (PBM) culture; your work will directly influence how we enter new market verticals, develop product roadmaps, and deliver long-term value. This is a highly visible role that blends strategy, customer interaction, and hands-on execution.

What You Will Do

  • Lead cross-functional teams in planning, development, and execution of new sensing solutions, including collaboration with external technology partners.
  • Create market maps, prioritize verticals, and develop go-to-market strategies for new sensing product areas.
  • Build financial and commercial business cases to ensure opportunities meet profitability and product viability expectations.
  • Lead Voice of Customer activities and translate market insight into clear product requirements for engineering.
  • Drive customer engagement during RFI/RFQ phases, ensuring accurate requirements, competitive positioning, and informed quoting decisions.
  • Apply Agile principles to coordinate engineering, operations, and commercial teams for iterative development.
  • Own the product family roadmap and manage lifecycle, cost, and commercial performance.
  • Train internal stakeholders (Sales, distributors, customers) on product capabilities and new solution offerings.
  • Manage cost, capital planning, and cross-functional deliverables through the PDP process toward safe launch.
  • Identify opportunities for cost improvements and next-generation design initiatives.


Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • 5+ years leading product strategy for engineered or technology products.
  • Demonstrated success driving product lifecycle activities from concept through commercialization.
  • Experience with structured development processes (AQP, PDP, or similar).
  • Proven ability to develop business cases and make data-driven commercial decisions.
  • Engineering or technical degree OR 10+ years of experience working with complex engineered products.


What Will Put You Ahead

  • Technical knowledge of sensors or electronic assemblies supplied to OEMs.
  • Expertise in sensor applications within automotive, industrial, or related markets.
  • Experience with complex sensing solutions.
  • Advanced degree in Electrical/Electronics, Engineering or significant product management experience (10+ years) in similar environments


For this role, we anticipate paying $140, 000 to $155, 000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
