Molex's Corporate Development & Strategy team is seeking a Director, M& A Integration & Divestitures. Molex's M& A team supports Molex's corporate and division leadership with sourcing, analyzing, executing, and integrating M& A opportunities in addition to other investments and divestitures.
This role will support the Molex enterprise across all divisions and corporate priorities by planning and executing post-acquisition integrations and leading divestiture preparation, execution, and transitions.
What You Will Do In Your Role The Director, M& A Integration & Divestitures will work collaboratively with Molex leadership to plan and execute integration and divestiture efforts across the Molex enterprise. This role is intended to serve as a critical thought partner to Molex leadership as the company executes inorganic activity and portfolio shaping priorities.
The Director is expected to bring thought leadership, build best-in-class, repeatable capabilities (playbooks, tools, governance), and drive consistent execution while partnering effectively with business and functional stakeholders.
This role is based out of Molex's Chicago office. There is an expectation of work in Molex's headquarters based in Lisle, IL as appropriate given the importance of fostering relationships and collaborating with senior leaders across the company. This role will require travel that is largely project dependent but estimated at 25% of time.
In this role, you will focus on:
Acquisition Integration Leadership: Partner with deal and business leadership to translate transaction intent into executable integration plans and deliver results.
Integration strategy & approach - drive decision making on integration approach and integration activity launch
- Define integration hypotheses, value drivers, and success metrics aligned to transaction objectives
- Hold business teams accountable (partnering with finance) for delivering value post-acquisition
Integration planning, governance & execution - Apply a structured process to guide organization through pre-close, Day 1-100, and stabilization periods
- Serve as cultural steward and ambassador of Principle Based Management to acquired companies
- Establish governance routines, milestones, and tracking mechanisms
- Identify interdependencies and ensure timely escalation and resolution of issues
- Seek opportunities to enhance acquisition performance and drive accountability to the results
Functional playbooks & readiness ownership - Sets integration strategy and execution model for Molex
- Own overall integration playbook - Partner with functional areas to ensure each has a strong playbook
- Flexible integration leadership model & business partnership
- Lead integrations directly when appropriate or partner closely with business leaders to share integration expertise, ensure consistent execution approach, enable knowledge sharing and continuous improvement
- Bring strong stakeholder partnership and influence to help business and functional teams navigate complexity and drive decisions without direct authority
Divestiture Pipeline, Preparedness & Execution : Owns overall divestiture strategy, preparation, and end-to-end divestiture execution in coordination with business, functional, and other Corporate Development stakeholders.
Divestiture pipeline & preparedness - Partner with Molex leadership to develop and maintain a divestiture pipeline aligned to strategic priorities
- Apply sound economic and strategic thinking to evaluate divestiture decision making (hold vs. sell)
- Establish separation frameworks (perimeter definition, readiness and complexity assessments, timeline/risk drivers, TSA needs, carve-out costs, stranded cost identification) to drive decision making
Divestiture execution - Lead execution of sell-side activities and coordinate the Corporate Development M& A team as appropriate
- Apply effective process to guide the organization through divestiture and separation execution
- Coordinate dis-integration workstreams and transition services to ensure continuity and risk mitigation
- Engage with external advisors and other stakeholders to facilitate effective execution
Other Activities: - Actively contribute to Molex and Corporate Development team culture
- Promote knowledge sharing and capability development of Corporate Development team members
- Selectively work with Molex Ventures portfolio companies to create value and strategic benefit for Molex
- Support other M& A and Strategy initiatives to support overall group and company priorities
The Experience You Will Bring Requirements:
- 8+ years of career experience in post-merger integration, M& A, divestitures, corporate development with significant integration/divestiture ownership, management consulting, or related roles
- Experience in corporate environment with focus on managing complex cross-functional initiatives

- Driven by desire to make an impact and deliver best outcomes for the organization
- Structured and logical thinking with demonstrated ability to discern what is most critical and important
- Powerful written communication skills used to succinctly articulate key elements of complex topics
- Strong verbal communication and experience expressing and defending perspectives with senior leaders
What Will Put You Ahead: - Meaningful experience leading entity carve-outs and TSA-heavy separations, including TSA exits
- Experience working in a global context and partnering effectively across regions/cultures/time zones
- Proven ability to build capabilities (e.g. processes, playbooks) that improve execution quality over time
- A modest and humble demeanor with utmost respect and integrity in all manners
- An ability to both provide and receive challenge to enable effective decision making
For this role, we anticipate paying $180, 000 - $220, 000 per year. This role is eligible for variable pay, issued as a monetary bonus or in another form.
