Description:

Essential Functions:

1. Represent the Quality Department in a positive and consistent manner

2. Thoroughly understand and able to serve as a backup to perform regular quality audits on production lines

3. Complete required documentation correctly and accurately

4. Follow, train, and enforce company processes and procedures

5. Assist in managing the site's Quality Management System (QMS). This includes uploading training documents, reviewing procedures/forms, etc.

6. Participate and/or facilitate internal/external audits

7. Perform internal audit (Quality / Safety / Sanitation / Efficiency / etc.)

8. Responsible for verification of all production records (PTS) cross shift

9. Responsible for managing Production and Quality paperwork filing.

10. Serve as a back up for Printing code date labels and other labels.

11. Verify-Release IRC/tear pads as necessary

12. Serve as backup for incoming corrugate inspections. Release inspected corrugate in WMS.

13. Assist with investigations to determine possible reason for variances

14. Able to respond to quality related issues as they arise at the site. Able to communicate and escalate the situation as necessary.

15. Document NCRs in QMS and assist with root cause analysis for completion

16. Prepare samples to customers as necessary

17. Participate in Pre-Production Meetings (PPMs) and First Production Approvals (FPAs)

18. Perform tasks to verify a site's critical control points (i.e. temperature verification tasks, daily thermometer verifications, etc.)

19. Communicate Menasha hold request to the customer as necessary.

20. Respond to customer hold requests as necessary.

21. Coordinate Special Service Request (SSR) process. This includes authoring protocols and reviewing paperwork

22. Coordinate Rework process. This includes authoring protocols and reviewing paperwork

23. Properly complete departmental documentation and data such as logs

24. Serve as a member of the site's Recall, Self Improvement Program (SIP) and HACCP teams as necessary.

25. Perform all computer functions as they pertain to this job

26. Perform other duties as assigned by management/supervisors

Education/Certification

High school diploma or equivalent

4. Ability to work in a production-based environment with moving equipment and people

7. Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure

8. Ability to work under tight deadlines and handle multiple and/or complex/highly detailed tasks

9. Must be detail-oriented and pay close attention to accuracy

10. Ability to apply commonsense understanding and communicate accurately to carry out detailed instructions (both verbal and written)

11. Ability to analyze information gathered in order to maintain accurate and detailed records using both computerized and manual means

12. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations

13. Ability to communicate accurately, clearly and concisely in written, verbal and electronic formats

14. Ability to independently, or with minimum supervision, write routine reports, correspondence and prepare various levels of documents and reports

15. Ability to establish and maintain very effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work

16. Ability to read and write using the English language

17. Ability to work in a refrigerated and freezer environment

The expected hourly rate for this position is $21.50/hr. This role is eligible for an annual incentive plan and for a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision insurance, basic term life, AD& D, short and long term disability, 401(k) retirement savings plan, PTO, and paid holidays.
