Adult Day Services Coordinator Lindsey Life Adult Day Services | ClarkLindsey About this Role Lindsey Life Adult Day Center is seeking an Adult Day Services Coordinator to serve as the on-site floor leader and supervisor for daily program operations. This role combines hands-on caregiving with real-time leadership, ensuring Members experience safe, engaging, dignified, and person-centered support each day. The Adult Day Services Coordinator is the primary on-floor decision-maker during operating hours, guiding Care Professionals, coordinating activities and transitions, responding to Member needs, and helping maintain a calm, structured, and welcoming environment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to completing work accurately and thoroughly.Ability to analyze situations, identify needs, and make practical decisions in real time.Clear, factual, professional communication with team members, leadership, Members, and families.Comfortable working in a setting with changing priorities, interruptions, and occasional pressure.High mental stamina and the ability to remain calm, organized, and focused during active program hours.Ability to create consistency, structure, and predictability for Members while adjusting as needs change.Genuine interest in supporting older adults and individuals with cognitive or physical challenges.Inclusive mindset and commitment to treating every individual with dignity, respect, and belonging. What Youll Do Provide compassionate, hands-on support to Members, including assistance with activities of daily living such as toileting, dressing, grooming, eating, mobility, and transfers.Oversee the daily flow of Adult Day Services, including arrivals, engagement activities, transitions, staffing coverage, breaks, and departures.Supervise and coach Care Professionals in real time, reinforcing care standards, engagement expectations, professionalism, and teamwork.Lead, coordinate, and actively participate in meaningful programming such as creative arts, music, movement, fitness, games, puzzles, group discussions, and social engagement.Adapt activities in the moment based on Member interests, abilities, energy levels, safety considerations, and group dynamics.Observe Members for changes in condition or behavior, respond promptly to incidents, and ensure required documentation and communication are completed.Document care accurately in the electronic health record system and communicate professionally with staff, leadership, and families as appropriate.Follow all policies, safety protocols, infection control standards, emergency procedures, HIPAA requirements, and compliance expectations.Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team and model accountability, inclusion, professionalism, and respect. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent required.Minimum of 2 years of experience in caregiving, adult day services, or a similar healthcare setting.Prior leadership, supervision, or shift coordination experience preferred.Current and valid Illinois CNA certification preferred but not required.CPR and First Aid certification preferred.Certified Food Protection Manager certification, or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire.Basic computer skills and familiarity with electronic health records preferred.Experience working with individuals with cognitive and physical challenges preferred. Physical Requirements Ability to walk, stand, stoop, kneel, bend, and reach frequently.Ability to lift or push up to 50 pounds, with or without the aid of mechanical devices.Ability to assist with transfers and mobility.Ability to move quickly from place to place when needed.Must possess sight and hearing senses sufficient to meet the requirements of the position.Ability to function independently and assist in Member evacuation during emergency situations as needed.
